One-to-One Tutoring
I offer English tutoring sessions for pupils that have additional literacy needs. This can either be:
- during the summer holidays
- after school or
- at school during term time.
Lessons will be specifically planned around the needs of your child. This means that time will be spent with you, gathering information that you are happy to share, and time with your child, assessing their strengths areas for development as well as understanding how they learn best. Personalised planning also means that lessons will be focused on specific interests while learning and having fun at the same time is guaranteed! This is achieved through discovery learning, the use of practical activities and games to achieve learning goals.
Tutoring during the school holidays can be particularly beneficial if your child is prone to regressing, especially during the long summer break.

'Top-Up' Support
'Top-Up' support can available following an assessment within the home. The aim of this is to:
- to discuss written feedback with you during a face-to-face consultation
- provide your child with some tools and strategies to support areas for development identified during the assessment
- Share and demonstrate, with you, some of the identified strategies that are effective.
